Mr. and Mrs. Pelt

Lisa and Adam were married during an intimate ceremony at Old St Mary’s Catholic Church which is the third oldest Roman Catholic Church in Detroit and the first German Church. It was built in 1841 by a parish of German Catholic immigrants at a time when the total population of Detroit was not much over 5,000. Lisa was helped by her best friend who also stood up next to her as her bridesmaid and Adam, by his brother and best man. After their vows were said and rings were blessed; they were officially husband and wife. We finished some gorgeous portraits in the church and then headed to another Detroit landmark, The Whitney. It was built in 1894 “The Whitney” became home to the family of lumber baron, David Whitney Jr., the wealthiest man in Detroit at the time. Today it romanesque revival mansion turned restaurant. It shows authentic Tiffany stained glass windows and gorgeous wood spiral stair cases with a must see Ghost Bar. The happy couple joined their party with a grand entrance by descending the staircase, to go directly to their first dance. It was a beautiful dinner with a wonderful toast made by the best man. The happiness of the couple was evident and especially see through the smile that seemed to be ever-present on their faces. May you have so many wonderfully happy moments from this day on. Congratulations Lisa and Adam!

Cheers!
