I have been planning a retro pool photo session for longer than I remember, and when my friend, Jenn showed me the bathing suits she bought her kids for a Christmas session with Santa, I just about flipped. Yes, we live in Florida and Yes, we do Christmas sessions on the beach! Our pool temperatures at their coldest are the temperature that Northerners swim at all summer long. So it is not a crazy idea to have a pool photo session in the fall. However, our stores do not carry pool accessories like they do in the other months, and that was a bit of a challenge. With a little bit of online help, a sewing machine, a few friends, and perfectly placed end-caps at the store where we found these cute cabana towels, this session came together like a dream!

Jenn is the owner and mastermind behind HomeMead Design so she had created these personalized surfboards for above her boys' beds when they were born and we decided to incorporate them on the studio's beach!

The boys used all their strength to pick up their sister!

We quickly made the transition over to the pool and my heart was doing flips! There was ice cold lemonade waiting.

To get these shots from above... This is how I did it!

We had a blast and I would love to do this again, if there are any south Florida families that would love to get in on this, just let me know and we will plan a session for your crew!
