South Carolina was my first home as a married woman. Jeff and I bought our first home, together, and this is where I became Mrs. Goodmanson for the first time to new friends and new students. . We moved because of Jeff's job and I busied myself with an attempt at waiting tables, and using my math brain to count money in the vault at Home Depot and then highlighted in the paint department to exercise my social skills. Both jobs were short lived because I was hired at a brand new school in Summerville, SC; Cane Bay High School. I was the very first Varsity Cheerleading Coach and one of the first Freshman English Teachers. I went on to work there for 4 years, meeting some amazing colleagues, friends, and young adults, who are now completely grown up. Anna is one of those people!
We have kept in touch through social media and it has been amazing to watch her follow her passion of teaching too!! She worked through the pandemic (as if the first year of teaching isn't hard enough.) She was able to make the best of it and begin a relationship with the man whom she now share a last name! They are creating a beautiful life and family together and she is now promoted to bonus momma as well! Anna and Austin share such a sweet love and I can't wait to see what is in store for these two!
Anna and Austin got ready inside of the club house of the Berkeley Country Club, with their wedding party who donned ice blue dressed and dark blue suits. With his dark blue suit, Austin wore an ice blue bowtie and his groomsmen differed a bit with long ties. All men completed their look with a white pocket handkerchief.
When your dad is your hero and biggest supported, you seek out his positive energy and love. Anna and Sam's first look brought tears to my eyes. It was so special to see the bond these two have. Sam was cool as a cucumber all day until he laid eyes on his little girl. He just melted.
With the final moments of preparation diminishing, Anna was able to read a little note from Austin that brought on more tears and gifted a book, and handkerchief, both with a heartfelt inscriptions to her flower girl. Their bond was so sweet.
