How far out from my wedding should I book you?
Congratulations on your engagement. As soon as you set a date, you can contact Emmy Jay Photography to book your date. You can book your date up to 18 months before your wedding date. We need the city of your celebration and the date of your wedding to give you an accurate pricing quote and save your date. If we have the date available we can take bookings as close as one week from your event.
Are my images included in my photography package?
Your edited images are absolutely included in your photography package. You receive all of the high resolution images from your wedding day. You will be able to share your images on social media, print them for your home, share them with your family and friends. You can do almost anything shy of selling them. The copyrights are always retained by Emmy Jay Photography, but you will have printing rights to your images. We just ask they you do not put filters on them and we love to be tagged on social media!
How much photography coverage do I need?
This all depends on how you plan your day. The average wedding day will comfortably require 8 hours of wedding photography. This will cover the getting ready photos, bridal portraits all the way through to your reception and even a bit of dancing! If you are planning a more extravagant wedding day or a destination wedding we suggest more coverage. We would love to chat with you in person or virtually to create a custom time line that will specifically cover your individual wedding.
When should I schedule my Engagement Session?
A few factors go into this answer. What do you want the over all feeling of your images to be. What type of clothing would you like to wear? Would you like your photos outside or inside? Will you be using your images on your save the dates? Here in Florida we love not being burdened by snow, the middle of summer presents it's own steamy challenges. We suggest booking your Engagement Session January- April for the BEST Florida has to offer. This "spring weather" lends better to feeling comfortable in pants, long sleeves, men's jackets, or long dresses. Will you be sending out "save the dates"? You should book your engagement session about 6 months or more before your wedding so you have time to get them created, print, and sent out in time to announce your wedding plans to your guests.
What should we wear to our Engagement Session?
As soon as you book your session, we provide you with all of our tips and tricks for choosing outfits and feeling comfortable in front of the camera. We will let you know what works best and what patterns and colors to avoid. We want you to look your best and not only feel at ease, but have fun at your engagement session.
My fiance and I don't know how †o pose in front of a camera. Can you help?
This is my specialty! Take a deep breath and will start you out with a few quick tips to use at your engagement session and on your wedding day, so pictures will be something you will actually look forward to! We will actually do quite a bit of non-posing so you can just let down your guard and just enjoy being together. After all, you are preparing to spend the rest of your lives together! Get comfortable!
When can we expect our photos?
Your engagement photos will be in your inbox within 7-10 days of your engagement session. You can expect your wedding photos 4-6 weeks from your wedding day.

What exactly is included in the package I am choosing? Will this be everything I need? Everything is listed on our pricing page under each specific package. We include all of your images in each package as well as a stunning custom album. This along with the expertise of Emmy Jay Photography is all you need for an amazing wedding photography experience.
How many photos will be included in my package? Is there a limit? There is no limit to the number of photos we take or deliver back to you but we have seen a trend to equal out to about 100 images per hour of wedding coverage. This means your day is covered!
